I was concerned about what other people would think when I first wanted to start a blog. I’m a Marine Corps veteran, not some priss drinking oat milk lattes with my cat Fiona, who’s also a vegan.
Don’t get offended yet, I’ve actually had oat milk lattes and they’re delicious. I just wanted to write, and the idea of starting a blog didn’t go with the way I wanted to show the world. Having a blog sounded like: because I was too concerned about what other people would say. That was not what I had in mind. But it’s what I thought of whenever I heard the word “blog”. I also thought of the mommy bloggers telling the world about all of their problems and selling MLM haircare products that changed. their. life.
I had no desire to be a part of that world, which is unquestionably real. So, I started my blog without telling anyone. Despite the fact that that blog ultimately failed, I have since launched numerous other websites. One thing I’ve found is that just having a blog doesn’t work very well.
If all you have is written content, you’re doomed to failure. You must produce a wide range of content, including written words, audio, video, products, and images. Of course, you don’t need to do all of those your first week. It would be impossible for just one person to create everything. I’d suggest picking two different channels for you to use to spread your message. Go beyond the blog and start building a small media company. Media isn’t the news broadcasts you see on TV or the newspapers that you used to see people reading.
Media simply serve as a means of expression or communication. That’s the goal of your blog: to communicate a message. Even if your blog is small, you need to consider it a media company.
