NEW DELHI: Over 130 stocks, including Hindalco IndustriesBSE 1.09 %, Tata Steel, Larsen & Toubro and Adani Enterprises hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE in Thursday’s trade.
Shares of Graphite India, Jet Airways (India), Jindal Steel & Power, Jubilant Foodworks, Jain Irrigation Systems, Man Industries (India), NMDC, Oil India,PC Jeweller, Rain Industries, Steel Authority of India, Sun TV Network and VIP Clothing also joined the bandwagon of stocks that hit fresh 52-week highs today.
Domestic equity market benchmarks remained cautious with a positive bias ahead of the kick-start of earning season.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was 13 points up at 10,456, while the BSE Sensex was 38 points up at 33,832 around 10.45 am (IST).
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.
Shares of NHPC, Steel Authority of India (SAIL), Hindalco Industries, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, ITC, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation and Punjab National Bank were among the most traded stocks on the National Stock Exchange.
Coal India, Larsen & Toubro, Tata Steel and Dr Reddy’s Labs were trading among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.
On the contrary, HCL Technologies, Sun PharmaBSE 1.77 %, ICICI Bank, Infosys and LupinBSE 0.21 % were seen under selling pressure.
