UPDATE: According to a report from the New York Times, more than 200,000 users deleted their Uber accounts in the wake of the #DeleteUber movement. The hashtag trended on social media following a tweet from Uber saying surge pricing would be turned off to and from the JFK International airport in New York, despite a call from the NY Taxi Workers Alliance to boycott President Trump’s immigration order by stopping pickups at the airport.
